Nature's Fight

A star shines bright
It keeps on shining with all its might
Yet it knows in the morning it will be outdone
As it doesn't compare to the powerful sun
Despite this the star shines brightly
It fights with all its might
And it succeeds in showing its beauty
As we wish upon it each night

The rose, a thing of beauty
Yet has a fierce side
You can look but you can't touch
As the rose quickly withered and died
Sure enough the life of a rose is short
Yet we remember its beauty still
And we realize that the rose blooms again
Yes, it surely will
